Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk — not as unwise people but as wise — making the most of the time, because the days are evil. So don’t be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Ephesians 5:15-17 HCSB
Walk as God has directed; we have the instruction manual, we have the Bible which gives us rules and examples of how we are to live. When we are in Christ, following the rules of God are easy, when we are of the devil, the rules of God are hard, stupid, and not fun. When we have Christ in us, we present ourselves as an example of His LOVE and mercy; when we are of the devil, we present ourselves as hypocrites as we say we are of Christ, yet we throw salt into His wounds by sinning, placing Him second, failing to edify, following our will and not His.
Pray to the Father with the faith of Jesus in you, pray to know His will for you, follow His will and not yours. Pray that you will be strong and stay the course. But above all else, always remember this: Jesus knows all of your sins, and He knows all of the times you will fall short in life; and even knowing all of this, He still took the scourging and death for you so that your sins would be covered by His blood before the Father’s eyes so that you would be in heaven with Him; all He asks is that you believe in Him with the faith of a child. Believe with your all; your life truly depends on it.
