Matthew 6:14-15

“For if you forgive people their wrongdoing,   your heavenly Father will forgive you as well.  But if you don’t forgive people,   your Father will not forgive your wrongdoing.
Matthew 6:14-15 HCSB

Jesus says this immediately after teaching His disciple’s the ‘model prayer’ – “our Father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name …”.  Jesus is telling us that we must forgive all, not just our brothers and sisters; all people.  If we do not forgive others of what they have done wrong, our heavenly Father will not forgive us for what we have done wrong.  We are to not only teach, guide, rebuke, and love our brothers and sisters in Christ; but we are to forgive ALL.
