1 John 1:5‭-‬10

Now this is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light, and there is absolutely no darkness in Him.  If we say, “We have fellowship with Him,” yet we walk in darkness, we are lying and are not practicing the truth.  But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.  If we say, “We have no sin,” we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  If we say, “We don’t have any sin,” we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
1 John 1:5‭-‬10 HCSB

We all have sinned and need the cleansing salvation that can only come from the blood of Jesus Christ.
Once we have accepted the gift of Salvation from the Son, we must walk the righteous walk and stay away from the darkness that befalls the world; we must confess our sins and repent; we must abstain from sinful ways and desires; to do all this shows we accept the gift on His terms.  When darkness overtakes our walk with Christ, it shows that we are not truly walking with Christ, means we do not truly believe in Him.  To truly believe is not just to say we believe; true belief is by actions.
We must believe in all that the Scriptures say, for what we do not understand now will be understood later; we must learn the Scriptures by letting the Holy Spirit fill and guide us in our learnings; we must repent of all our past sins and ‘sin no more’; and we must walk in Christ, always.
Accept Jesus Christ on His terms and eternal life is yours!
